Who is this for?
North Korean refugees in Toronto. Mainly in their 30-40’s, both genders.

What is Hanvoice doing to help?
Hanvoice is gathering donations that will be put in shoeboxes which will contain useful material that the refugees can use to help with their settlement here in Toronto as they await status.

Who is HanVoice?

HanVoice is a human rights organization established in 2007 dedicated to ending the plight of North Korean refugees in China.

Why Should We Help? Why can’t the refugees help themselves?Recently Canadian immigrated North Korean Refugees come from a communist country where democracy as well as freedom is absent. Therefore even living in Toronto is a hectic job.

What kind of things can the shoebox contain?
New or gently used items that refugees would find useful in tehri settlement such as; Household items, clothing, personal hygiene products, subway tokens, city maps, etc.

Currently the donations are collected at:

When is the donation deadline?
The deadline for donations is Monday, July 6, 2009.
